DRACULA: BOOK I--THE IMPALER is the first in a series of Original Graphic Novels by legendary comic book creators Matt Wagner (GRENDEL) and Kelley Jones (BATMAN, SANDMAN: SEASON OF MISTS). This is not yet another adaptation of the Bram Stoker novel into comics form.

Matt Wagner is an American comic book writer and artist, known as the creator of the series Mage and Grendel. He has also worked on comics featuring The Demon and Batman as well as such titles as Sandman Mystery Theatre and Trinity, a DC Comics limited series featuring Batman, Superman, and Wonder Woman. In 1991, he illustrated part of the "Season of Mists" story arc in Neil Gaiman's The Sandman series.
